Experience Highlights: | Started accounting career upon finishing graduate school at University of Pennsylvania in 1965. Participated in the start-up of New York Office of Tohmatsu & Co., a Japanese accounting firm in 1972. Became a partner of Tohmatsu & Co., Japan in 1978. Through the affiliation of Tohmatsu & Co. and Touche Ross & Co., helped many U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese parent companies in such industries as trading, retailing, manufacturing, banking, leasing, export & import and non-profit organizations. Scope of services range from accounting, auditing, individual and corporate taxes, merger & acquisitions due diligence and general advisory services. Became a partner of Touche Ross & Co. in 1988 and as a result of its subsequent mergers with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, became a partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP. During 1978 through 1989, acted as a partner in charge of Japanese Service Group. Retired from Deloitte & Touche LLP and Tohmatsu & Co. in 2000 and currently a partner of Yamaguchi Lion LLP. |
